What a fabulous trip we had!!

A Rhine cruise demands that you take it easy. Flowing through five countries at the very centre of western Europe, the river could easily give the most avid visitor a bad case of cultural overdose. Along the way, there are great cities to be visited. Otherwise, we just sat back and enjoyed the view of the castles and cathedrals. We even join in the songs when the band played and toast the grand scenery with a cool glass of Rhine or Mosel wine .

We left from Fort Lauderdale to JFK...had about a 3 hour layover... then flew for 8 hours (with out a cigarette) to Amsterdam. At the airport we were met by our drive who proceeded to take us to the wrong Sofitel Hotel. But that gaves us a chance to see more of the City. You would not belive the number of bicycles. I t was dangerous to walk for fear of getting hit by a bike. They have the right of way.

We arrived at the Sofitel Grand Hotel at about 11:00 am. We did not expect to get to our room till after 3:00 pm , but to our surprise we went straight to our room. What a magnificent hotel!! Definitely First Class.

On the subsequent pages you will see more about our trip, but before I ramble on, we must thank Angie for putting the trip together for us. She did a stellar job. Thanks Angie.

We hope you enjoy the site and our travel Pictures.
